About Bret Walters

For Bret Walters, every person, every auction, and every gathering holds a story worth hearing. With more than two decades in the auction industry, Bret brings not only a skilled voice to the microphone but also a heart that values connection, community, and fun.

Bret especially loves working with schools and youth programs, where he sees the next generation discovering their potential. He’s passionate about helping school fundraisers grow bigger, better, and more impactful. He’s not just calling bids, he is mentoring and encouraging students to thrive. Beyond the auction block, Bret volunteers to work with kids facing difficult home situations, including those with parents struggling with addiction. He also partners with Mayo Clinic and cancer programs to bring joy and support where it’s most needed.

Community service runs deep for Bret. A proud Shriner of 20 years, an active member of multiple hunting organizations, and a dedicated volunteer, he has received numerous honors including Benefactor of the Year, Speaker Awards, Most Helpful, Number One Fundraiser, and was crowned the 2019 MSAA Ringman’s Champion.

At home, Bret’s greatest treasures are his wife Hilary, daughters Mackenzie (24) and Ana (22), his son Kade (18), and their horses. Whether in the auction ring or out in the community, Bret is known for his silly, lighthearted personality and his love of making every event enjoyable. His motto is simple: “By giving back in as many ways as we can, we have the power to make someone’s day (or even their life) a little bit better.”

Bret brings energy and purpose to every event, proving that making a difference can be fun too.
