Brian P. Damewood

After several years as a television news reporter, Brian Damewood traded the newsroom for the auction block, and he hasn’t looked back. Since joining his family’s auction business in 2010, Brian has spent the past 15 years honing his craft and building a reputation as one of the nation’s most engaging benefit auctioneers.

Brian’s greatest strength is his ability to command a room. Whether he’s in front of 500+ donors at a gala or leading a school fundraiser, Brian captures attention, energizes the audience, and inspires donors to give generously. He thrives under the pressure of events that carry the weight of an organization’s entire year of fundraising, helping schools, non-profits, and community groups not only meet but exceed their goals. Passionate, focused committees are his favorite partners, and he’s committed to making sure donors have such a good time giving that they can’t wait to come back next year.

Brian’s talent and dedication have earned him national recognition, including 2012 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer, 2021 Reserve Champion in the World Automobile Auctioneer Championships, and the prestigious title of 2023 International Auctioneer Champion, Men’s Division.

When he’s not behind the microphone, Brian is first and foremost a family man. He lives in Purcellville, Virginia with his wife Catherine and their two children, Penelope and Henry. A 2008 graduate of Virginia Tech and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Brian enjoys balancing quality family time with encouraging his children’s independence.

Brian Damewood is proud to make his living as a professional auctioneer. Brian is helping organizations maximize every dollar in the room while creating unforgettable experiences along the way.
