About Cindy Fessenden

Cindy Fessenden

Cindy Fessenden began working with Kurt in 2020 and brought 12 years of fundraising experience with her. At Virtue, Cindy will manage finance. A sole proprietress for over 25 years, her client work is varied, yet for each, her goal is to afford them the time to focus on what they do best while she uses her expertise in streamlining, marketing, communications, and, bookkeeping to their advantage.

Outside of work, Cindy enjoys tending her gardens and goldfish pond. Her garden beds thrive with zen-garden inspired plantings: a Japanese Snowbell tree and burgundy jewel dwarf Japanese maple are standouts among native perennials, water fountains and the pond with a “falling water” feature inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. Cindy’s goal is to have her home in a garden tour, which means, if the soil isn’t frozen, she’s working it.

Cindy lives on the seacoast of New Hampshire in Portsmouth with her husband Matt and their black lab Moxie. Together they own a commercial lobster boat and lobster fish in the Gulf of Maine from June to January. Both are foodies and Cindy considers herself a better-than-good home cook: the lobster pies they make at Christmas are family favorites and their way of sharing their bounty with family and friends.
