About Oscar Guerrero, BAS
📍 Minnesota, Arizona
Oscar Guerrero, BAS
Born in Querétaro, México, Oscar Guerrero is a first-generation auctioneer whose journey into the profession was inspired by his dear friend, the late Connie Johnson, who connected him to a benefit auctioneer in Arizona. With no prior experience in the field, Oscar quickly discovered the magic of auctions and it has since become his lifelong passion.
He hopes to continue serving nonprofits and communities through benefit auctions for the rest of his life.
Oscar brings a unique background of broadcasting, education, acting, and corporate training in both the U.S. and México, allowing him to inspire and motivate audiences across cultures. A 2012 graduate of the Worldwide College of Auctioneering and Certified Bilingual Auctioneer, Oscar earned the prestigious Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation in 2014 from the National Auctioneers Association, a credential held by less than 3% of auctioneers in North America. Fluent in both Spanish and English, and proudly bicultural, Oscar creates meaningful connections that resonate with diverse audiences.
His passion for benefit auctions stems from a deep belief that giving back is a never-ending calling. Oscar has been instrumental in helping raise millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations across the U.S. and México. Beyond the auction stage, he holds a Master of Science in Instructional Technology and Telecommunications from Western Illinois University and once represented México in the international nonprofit Up With People, traveling throughout the U.S. and México to promote cultural exchange and service.
For Oscar, benefit auctioneering is more than a career. It’s a mission to help others, inspire generosity, and make the world a better place, one event at a time.
